This policy explains how The Rahma Organization handles personal information.

What we collect

We receive personal information only when you choose to send it to us: by email, by WhatsApp, by telephone, or by completing the contact form or the volunteer form on this site. Those two forms ask for your name, an email address or phone number so we can reply, and whatever you write in the message. The volunteer form also asks where you are based and which programme areas interest you. Nothing else is required, and we ask you not to send identity documents or certificates through the site.

The site itself sets no cookies and does not track you between visits. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of individual visitors, so we can see which pages are read and nothing more.

Who else handles it

Three services touch what you send us, and none of them is given your information for their own use. Cloudflare hosts this site and runs the anti-spam check on both forms. Resend carries a submitted form to our own email address and does nothing else with it. WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, carries your message to us under its own terms if you choose that route; the same is true of email and of a phone call. If you would rather not use a messaging service, write to us by email or come to the office.

Photographs

We photograph our visits and publish some of them. An identifiable adult appears only with their agreement, and a child in the care of a children's home only where that home has authorized the use in writing. We publish no names, no addresses and no detail that would let a stranger find a person we have helped, and we remove the location data stored inside photograph files before publication. Anyone photographed, or the home responsible for a child, may ask us to take an image down at any time and we will.

What we do with it

We use the information you give us to respond to you, to administer membership and contributions, and to keep records of our own activities. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it publicly.

Members and contributions

This section applies to our members, who contribute monthly and register with us directly rather than through this website. For each member we keep a name, contact details, the amount pledged and a record of contributions received, and an administrator may send reminders and receipts by WhatsApp or SMS with the member's consent, which is given at registration and may be withdrawn at any time. People who give through the donate page are not enrolled in anything, and we keep only what is needed to account for the gift and to reply.

How long we keep it

We keep membership and contribution records for as long as you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and accountability purposes.

Your rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact info@therahma.org and we will respond.
